Anniversary celebration of the GSTF

On September 23rd, 2023 we celebrated 40 years of GSTF - Many thanks to all guests and helpers!

We look back on a very successful celebration with over 150 guests and many congratulations.

We were particularly pleased by the greeting from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in honor of our anniversary celebration, which was read out by Ms. Tenzin Choesang (Tibet Bureau Geneva).

Since the GSTF was founded in April 1983, numerous GSTF members and politicians have worked for the Tibetan population. The GSTF is now celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and we were able to celebrate this appropriately.

Among the many guests, the following guests of honor took part in the celebration in Zurich: Adult Khem Rinpoche, Abbot of the TIR; from the Parl. Group Tibet co-president NR Fabian Molina, NR Prisca Birrer-Heimo and NR Katharina Prelicz-Huber; Government Councilor Mario Fehr, Kt. ZH; Jampa Samdo, former Tibet. exiled parliamentarians; Tenzin Wangdu, Vice President of TGSL; Kelsang Gyaltsen, co-founder of GSTF; Dolkar Gyaltag, wife of GSTF 2nd President Gyaltsen Gyaltag; 3 former presidents Lobsang Gangshontsang, Marianne Gubler, Yangchen Büchli; TFOS President Tseyou Marsen, VTJE Co-President Kalsang Choyulpa; Tsewang Münsel, director of the TGSL Tibetan schools, Philip Hepp, managing director of the TIR; Selina Morell, China program manager at the STP; for “Globi at the Yaks” Gisela Klinkenberg, publishing director, illustrator Dani Frick and copywriter Boni Koller; Sonam and Martin Brauen, artists and ethnologists, authors and curators.

Many thanks again to all the guests who celebrated with us and to all the helpers and artists without whom this festival would not have been possible!

  1. Every effort, every real wide-ranging activity is very important to me. I have known many Tibetans for years, including those with negative decisions. What I'm shocked about. What our Swiss policy allows is shocking.
